131 – Upper Ground Sweet Potato Squash
Weighs up to 20 pounds. Round or pear-shaped, tanned skin (usually ribbed), orange flesh. Tates like sweet potatoes.
Available in the Fall.

Choctaw Sweet Potato:
Heirloom variety. Very rare today. Oval shaped, pear-shaped or oblong. Dull orange, smooth skin with slight ribbing. 5 to 15 pounds. Creamy flesh that tastes like sweet potatoes. They can be harvested in the Summer, too.
Vitamin Pumpkin (a variety from Russia):
Brownish, oblong with smooth skin and moderate ribbing. Flesh is cream or yellow.

Tennessee Old Fashioned Vining squash:
Usually, oval-shaped (sometimes round), can weigh between 12-15 lbs (sometimes up to 33). It’s salmon or mildew-salmon colored. It has orange flesh.
